Rath (Possible) in Knocksoghey

Rath (Possible)

What is recorded here

Knocksoghey hides a possible rath in County Antrim, where a circular earthwork may still bulge beneath grass and memory. People may have built it to keep out rain, wolves or neighbours, then left it to rot into the land. The uncertainty does not weaken it; it refuses the cage of a final answer.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Rath (Possible). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
