What is recorded here

Two cairns still stand in Knockoneill, County Derry, though no human hand is certain when they were raised. They are not a palace, a road or a field boundary; they are a marker, a memorial or a message thrown upward against forgetting. That much difference matters. Stone stacked once may have directed a route, honoured a dead person or answered another stack farther away. The uncertainty does not weaken the place, it completes it.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
