What is recorded here
On a an E-facing slope in poorly drained structure. There is a large plantation of coniferous trees fronted by a narrow length of deciduous trees at the location indicated. There is a substantial stream N-S between c. 10m and c. 20m E of this. There is a modern road between c. 15 and c. 30 to the E of the stream. There is no evidence of burnt spreads or of any other monument now visible. However a number of drains, some quite deep, were excavated and others cleared of debris, both within and in proximity to the plantation. It is possible that burnt spreads were identified during the excavation of these drains but have since been washed away.
