Man-made underground passage in Knockbrack (burrishoole By.)

Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Knockbrack holds a hidden passage beneath its rath, waiting for footsteps that have not returned since the building stopped. The earth keeps the shape of human hands even when the ground offers no seam, joint or entrance for them to follow. What was made there must have wanted to be hidden, which means the makers understood that some truths need darkness before they can be spoken.
