Standing stone in Knockalegan (burrishoole By.)

Standing stone

What is recorded here

Knockalegan holds one standing stone in County Mayo, but the facts stop short of explaining why it stands or when it rose. That vacancy makes the stone larger, not smaller, because imagination must fill the gap left behind.
