What is recorded here

One stone remains, but the place was a pair. The missing companion is not even a hole now; it has vanished completely from the field. Dallaun is a name that points at its own kind, a stone of stones, yet the second stone has left no trace for anyone to argue about. What is left is a large upright marker in flat pasture, waiting beside a burial ground for the other half of its name to return.

Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map c. 55m to N of standing stone (CO071-034002-). OS Name Books (1841) describe two stones '10 links apart and 5ft by 9ft in circumference'.
