What is recorded here
A rectangular walled graveyard by the roadside. It encloses the remains of a medievl church (DU015002001-). There is a kink in the wall along the SE section possibly indicating the former existence of an earlier enclosure. A mausoleum containing the remains of Austin Cooper, antiquarian, died 1830, is located on the site of the former nave of the church. The graveyard contains 18th, 19th and 20th century gravemarkers. One of the oldest headstones is dated 1754 and dedicated to Elias Reynolds and five of his children who died young (Fingal Historic graveyards Project 2008).
