Detached four-bay single-storey national school, dated 1891, having three-bay rear elevation. Pitched replacement slate roof, having overhanging eaves with exposed rafter ends and with exposed purlins to gables, cast-iron rainwater goods and rendered chimneystack. Roughcast-rendered walls with projecting plinth course. Square-headed openings with painted stone sills and original timber casement windows, and timber panelled door with overlight. Plaque inscribed "KINGARROW/NATIONAL SCHOOL/1891". Set parallel to roadside, with stone boundary wall to front.
