What is recorded here

Seven hundred metres of dark water-cut stone lies west of Cong, housing lesser horseshoe bats that still hang untouched in the roots of the earth. The cave belongs to nobody and everyone, a living chamber where human hands must stay empty and quiet. What we know is only that the bats remain, and that the rock remembers the shape of the river which carved it.

Within the N half of the interior of rath (GA105-134----). Named 'Cave' and indicated only on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map. According the local information, the entrance to the Man-made underground passage was filled with stones. No visible surface trace survives.
