Situated in the SW corner of Cahermacnaghten townland at the SE end of a settlement focussed on ‘Cabhail Tighe Breac’ (the probable 15th/16th century schoolhouse of the O’Davoren Brehon lawyers) (CL009-001009-) which lies c. 80m to the NW. A small structure or enclosure (CL009-001028-) lies 3m to the E. An overgrown kiln (overall L 8.8m) extending WNW-ESE. The lintelled flue (Wth 1.8m) extends 3.5m E from the oven (D 1.2m) which is constructed of flat-bedded karst (wall Wth 0.6m), corbelled to form a roof.
