Enclosure in Killuragh

Enclosure

What is recorded here

Situated in flat reclaimed pasture, with good views in all directions. Identified from aerial photographs (Bruff Survey: Map 15, no 26.3; 4/3728) as a 'subcircular platform enclosure, c. 40m x 30m, with possible internal bank' (Doody 2008, 130); ); the morphology indicating that it may be Bronze Age in date (ibid.). There was no evident trace of the moument when the site was inspected. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 5 November 2013
