On a low ENE-WSW ridge in undulating pasture with wide views. Hachured on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Ringfort’ in the RMP (1996). This subrectangular enclosure (28m ENE-WSW; 23m NNW-SSE) is defined by a low round-topped earthen bank (Wth 6.5-9m; int. H 0.2-0.35m; ext. H 0.9-1.5m). There is a subcircular rise (H 0.1m; diam. 3m) in the central interior. Westropp (1905, 358) suggested that this might be a burial mound, and recorded that its top had been deeply excavated. A modern water trough has been inserted into the S side of the bank and a drystone wall runs along the E edge of the bank. Killilagh graveyard (CL008-063002-) is immediately to the ENE.
