On N side of Ballyhooly-Fermoy road. Rectangular graveyard (c. 50m E-W; c. 40m N-S) enclosed by stone-faced earthen bank; gate at E end of S side approached by short passage from road. Ruin of parish church of Killathy (14432) off-centre to W. In use; some 18th-19th century headstones and low uninscribed gravemarkers occur, mainly to S of church; more recent headstones N of church. Large cut-limestone pedimented mausoleum of Jacksons on E side, facing entrance (Roche 1988, 12). Venerated grave of Reverend John Leonard, who died in 1803, marked by stone with Latin inscription (ibid., 26-7; Grove White 1905-25, vol. 1, 229; ibid., vol. 3, 296-9).
