What is recorded here
Located on a broad, low hill. A granite latin cross (H 0.54m; Wth of arms 0.53m), now in the County Wexford Museum, Enniscorthy (WX020-031012-), was located on top of the road bank on the NW side of the Kilmuckeridge to Courtown road (R742) until sometime after 1948. It has an inscribed circle, possibly with a Chi Rho, at the crux. Above this on the same face is an inscribed Latin cross. There is a raised rectangle on the other face. (Ranson 1945, 53; 1948, 101-02)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
