What is recorded here

In pasture, to the N of the Killorglin-Killarney road and immediately S of Killalee church (KE066-008----). Archaeological test trenching of an area immediately S of the church doorway, in advance of a proposed road realignment, revealed the presence of a graveyard containing adult and child burials (Dennehy 2002a, 145-6). Prior to testing, there were no above-ground indications of graves or grave-markers. Eighteen potential grave-cuts were identified and two adults and two neo-natal skeletons were excavated (Dennehy 2002a, 146). Two cremation pits (KE066-088002-, KE066-088003-) were also revealed immediately to the E of the church (ibid.).
