What is recorded here

Situated on a NE-facing slope in lush meadow. Indicated as a circular platform-type earthwork on the 1st ed. (1840) OS 6-inch map with a field boundary abutting the NW quadrant. Not depicted on the subsequent 1901-05 ed. No visible trace at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
