What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular earthen ringfort on a south-facing slope in County Cork, Ireland. Its bank stands one and a half metres high but thins to half a metre along the eastern edge, enclosing a gently sloping interior where a man-made underground passage cuts through the centre. The fort sits in working tillage, exposing ancient construction beneath ordinary farm life.

In tillage, on S-facing slope. Circular area (24m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.5m); reduced to shallow scarp (H 0.5m) E->WSW. Interior slopes gently down to S; Man-made underground passage (CO122-011002-) in centre. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
