Ballymaglancy Cave is a 726-metre limestone tunnel near Cong where lesser horseshoe bats still fly through darkness that human hands have not decorated for display. TheClancy or Glancy family gave the place its name centuries before protection laws arrived, and Pollwalter marked the water or mill feature beside it. People may have walked past the entrance for generations, hearing only drip and wind, while the bats used the hidden chamber as their own living room.

In N half of a probable ringfort (GA041-038----). A drystone-built passage (L c. >4m), running N-S, is visible from a blocked-up inaccessible entrance.
