What is recorded here
Kilcatherine Grave Yd. is a children's burial ground in County Clare, Ireland. The completed place information is not public, but the official kind is already clear. That is a rare and painful clarity. A field set aside for children means the community faced death young enough to need its own ground. The absence of a detailed description does not weaken the place. It removes adult ornamentation and leaves the facts that matter.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
