What is recorded here
Grave Yard is a graveyard in County Mayo, Ireland. It is not clear when people stopped laying bodies there or whose names the soil still holds. The land may have served a village, a faith or a forgotten lineage before being abandoned to grass and rain. Whatever it kept, it has returned that knowledge to the earth.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
