Man-made underground passage in Kealduff Upper

Located on the bog-covered floor of the Glenbeigh horseshoe, on a slight rise immediately above Lough Naparka. A complex of five rectangular huts and a Man-made underground passage occurs within a network of field walls, partly submerged in boggy pasture. The drystone-built Man-made underground passage (KE071-056002-) consists of two passages set at right angles to one another and communicated by a double lintelled creepway. The E-W passage measures 2.7m long, .9m high and 1.1m wide, and the N-S passage is 2m long, .9m high and .8m wide. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
