High Castlehill is a prehistoric enclosure in Inverclyde, Scotland. Its boundary still traces the hill, perhaps marking pasture, ritual or warning. People may have gathered there before written history, reading weather and belonging in the same open air. The land remembers that much even when human names have vanished.
