What is recorded here

This stone is currently incorporated into the interior E wall of a church (TS075-023001-). It is described by Okasha and Forsyth (2001, 274-5) as a small slab (H c. 0.17m; Wth c. 0.45m) and is 'part of a slab of unknown form. Incised on the visible face is the lower half of a linear equal-armed cross with short bar expansions on the right and left terminals. Beneath this is incised a text on one horizontal line'. It is listed as Toureen Peacaun 31 (ibid.). The stone was uncovered during the 1944 excavation (Duignan 1944, 227; Macalister 1949, 213). Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
