Toberleo is a small natural rockpool on the south shore of Fuagh Leo in County Galway, where a spring still leaks through the rock face above the ledge. The water collects in an irregular basin cut by weather rather than human hands, yet people have long treated it as a holy well. Stand beside it at low tide and the island feels less like a remote rock and more like a threshold, as if the sea had stepped back to reveal a chamber where prayer and rain meet.

On E side of Fuagh Leo (Ooghleo on OS 6-inch map) on S shore of the island. Tobar Leo consists of a small irregularly shaped natural rockpool on a ledge, fed from a spring in the rock face above it. Toberleo is associated with Saint Leo, a lesser-known early Irish saint, and is traditionally linked to cures for eye ailments and general healing. The well’s location on a rocky ledge suggests it may have been a site of pilgrimage and ritual washing, common in early Christian and pre-Christian Irish traditions.
