In pasture on a gentle S-facing slope. Marked and labelled ‘Kilranaghan’ on the first edition (1842) of the OS 6-inch map, and hachured and labelled ‘Kilranaghan Grave Yard’ on the later, Cassini edition (1916) of the map. Westropp (1913, 236) described the site as a ‘large levelled ring’. A large subcircular enclosure (int. diams. 51m E-W; 44m N-S; ext. diams. 61.5m E-W; 55m N-S) is defined by a low wide bank (Wth 4.5-6.5m; H 0.2-0.3m). The interior contains a burial ground (CL017-104----). There is a bullaun stone (CL017-105----) c. 65m to the E and a rath (CL017-103----) stands c. 90m to the W
