On a knoll (on the 100’ contour) in scrub-covered limestone pavement, overlooking Lough George c. 330m to the W. Classified as an ‘enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). Hachured on the first edition (1842) of the OS 6-inch map and recorded as an enclosure on the later, Cassini edition (1916). An oval cashel (c. 35m N-S; c. 26m E-W) is defined by a largely rebuilt drystone stone wall (Wth 1-1.8m; H 1-1.2m) standing on and flanked by a spread of collapsed rubble on both the inside (Wth 1-1.2m) and outside (Wth 2m).
