Situated on a NE-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. Depicted on the 1st ed. (1840) OS 6-inch map as a roughly rectangular enclosure with rounded W end. A semicircular arc of an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5m; H 1m) survives as a field boundary from W through N to NE.
