What is recorded here

Situated on the E-facing slope of a low N-S drumlin ridge towards the S end. This feature is depicted as an oval hachured feature only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map. It is an overgrown oval earthen platform (dims of top c. 23m E-W; c. 14m N-S; H 0.8-1.2m) with faint traces of an external fosse at E. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 23 September 2008 Amended: 7 January 2020
