Situated NW of Glenareen House on steeply falling ground descending to the Slade valley. A stream runs to the S of it. An oval or subrectangular area extending N-S (L 36m; Wth 24m) defined by a bank (Wth 2.3-2.5m; H 1.2m) and outer fosse (Wth 2.5m; D 0.45m). The site is shown on the 1843 OS 6-inch map as a planted earthwork. Within the enclosure are three sites which are possible ring-barrows (DU024-009002-, DU024-009003-, DU024-009004-).
