What is recorded here

Marked as a circular enclosure on the 1840 ed. (diam. c. 60m) and 1926 ed. (diam. c. 50m) of the OS 6-inch map. Situated towards the bottom of a SW-facing slope. Described locally as a circular 'lios' which was removed c. 30 years ago. Traces of a slightly dished, grass-covered circular area (diam. c. 35m) survive. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 23 December 2008
