What is recorded here

On a gentle SE-facing slope with a N-S stream immediately to the E. Overgrown circular area (diam. 29m N-S; 27m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.8-1.2m) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 4.8-5.7m; Wth of base 2.2-2.6m; D 0.6-1.1m) from an outer bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 0.2m), which is incorporated into a field bank SSW-NNW with a field drain on the W side (max. ext. diam. 47m E-W). There is no identifiable original entrance, although Gannon (1972) noted an entrance (Wth 3m) at E. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
