Graveyard

Why this matters

A Neolithic or early Bronze Age court tomb; wider significance not recorded.

What is recorded here

Marked similarly on the 1837 and 1914 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated at the bottom of the E-facing slope of a drumlin. Described as a rectangular area, perhaps a graveyard, defined by the remains of a wall (Gannon 1972) and containing the remains of a building (RO011-099001-). These features are no longer visible, but an oval grass-covered enclosure (RO011-099003-) survives. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
