What is recorded here
In pasture, located at the NW end of a low NW–SE ridge, utilising the break of slope at W–N. Views are good, especially to W–NW towards a stream which is 40m to NW. A private road lies immediately to W.
Raised, roughly circular area (diam. c. 28-30m) defined E–SW by a low bank; at W–NE the bank has been levelled to a low curving undulation. The bank (Wth c. 3m at SW; int. H c. 0.1m; ext. H 2m at SW, 1.2m at ESE) retains a slight internal rim at E and S but is mainly reduced to a scarp. Stones protrude from the external face at SW. now largely obscured by hawthorn and brambles.
The E edge of the enclosure is crossed by a field fence with parallel ditch on a NNE–SSW axis and another field fence on a roughly E−W axis, also with field ditch, cuts across the S edge.
