What is recorded here

A roughly rectangular graveyard (dims. c. 27m N-S; c. 43m E-W) associated with the parish church of St Kieran of Kells (KK027-029009-). Kells priory (KK027-029004-) lies c. 120m to the N and the medieval settlement of Kells lies to the NW and S of the church. Portion of an effigial tomb (KK027-029011-) has been inserted in the external face of the graveyard wall, at the S end of the W wall. The graveyard, which is bounded by a stone wall, extends N and E of the church, with a small portion to the S. The wall runs N and S from the W gable of the church, with external steps giving access to the door of the church. The public road runs E-W outside the S wall.
