What is recorded here
In a slight hollow with limited visibility, in high (between the 400’ and 500’ contours) rough pasture and within an extensive, multiperiod field system (CL009-084001-). Indicated on the Cassini edition (1920) of the OS 6-inch map. This subcircular enclosure (int. diams. 23m N-S; 20m E-W) is defined by stony bank (Wth 2-3.2m; max. H 0.7m) upon which a later wall is built. Between SSE and SW, the enclosing wall appears to overlie the NE limits of an adjoining enclosure (CL010-047022-) to the SW. The interior is slightly concave. A small stone structure just outside the enclosure at E, is probably a livestock pen.
