On the crest of a broad E-W ridge. Circular scrub-covered area (diam. 29.2m E-W; 26.7m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.3-4.1m; int. H 0.3-0.6m; ext. H 0.8-1.3m), with an outer fosse (Wth of top 4m; Wth of base 2.2m; D 0.2m) SE-W-NW. There is an entrance (Wth 3m) and causeway (Wth 4m) at SE. The W part of the interior has been excavated as a pond (dims. 24m N-S; 9m E-W; D 1m) with the spoil added to the bank at W, and a pond has been dug in the fosse at NW. Rath (RO023-056----) is c. 100m to the N and rath (RO023-058----) is c. 200m to the NE.
