An isolated one-storey gable-ended house. The front (NE-facing) is of four bays. The door, which is within a gabled porch, is off-centre to the left. It is flanked by a single window to the left and two to the right, all with hood-mouldings and sheet glass sash windows. There is a sash-framed loft window with glazing bars in each gable end. The chimney is off-centre to the left. The walls are plastered. There is a lean-to addition to the rear. The cottage is possibly associated with Derreen House, c. 1.5km to the W.
