What is recorded here
On a low NNE-SSW esker ridge. The castle of Curraghboy (RO048-075001-) is marked as a small square structure at the NW corner of a rectangular enclosure (dims c. 45m E-W; c. 40m N-S), perhaps a bawn, on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. The enclosure is no longer visible at ground level in pasture.
