Situated on a gently slope terrace of the E-facing slope of a N-S ridge in pasture. Raised circular area (diam. c. 35m) enclosed NNE-W by an earthen bank (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 0.6m at W, 1.3m at E) which may have been faced with stone. The rath is divided into unequal portions by a NE-SW field boundary. To NW of the field boundary the bank has been levelled W-N and this portion of the rath is visible only as a slighlty raised semi-circular area. To SE of the bisecting field fence, the interior is divided into two roughly equal portions by a vertical scarp which extends NW-SE through the centre of the rath. The scarp marks a change in the interior ground level with iground level to SW being 0.9m higher than that to NE of the scarp. Extending SW from the scarp is a remnant of a low bank (L 3.4m; Wth 1m; H 0.2m).
