What is recorded here

Associated with a holy well (GA114-066002-). Some 8m to the NW of the holy well are the foundations of a rectangular building (GA114-066006-), aligned NNE-SSW, which is composed of undressed blocks (L 7.5m; Wth 5.5m). A second building (GA114-066007-), c. 5m to the NNE of the well, is only slightly better preserved. It consists of a rectangular ruin (L 8m; Wth 4m) aligned N-S. Though its E side-wall survives to a height of 1.5m, the other walls are completely collapsed and/or grassed-over. A narrow laneway passes outside its E wall. These buildings may have been associated with the other ecclesiastical remains (see GA114-066001-). However, they could also have been part of the extensive house cluster of c. 20 buildings, named 'Toberelatan', shown here on 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map.
