Marked as a circular field (diam. c. 80m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as a sub-triangular one on the 1929 ed. Situated on the gentle SW-facing slope of a NW-SE ridge. This is a D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 26.5m NW-SE; c. 20m NE-SW) defined by straight field banks and hedges at NE and SE, and by a curving scarp (H 1m) S-NW with an entrance ramp (Wth 5m) at SW. There is no visible fosse or any sign of the enclosure N or E of the field banks but it was probably a rath.
