On a SE-facing slope of rising ground in grassland in upland area with good views in all directions. Located near edge of river ravine located to the NE of the enclosure with nearby ringforts (TS049-047---- and TS049-048----) 380m and 530m to SE respectively. Only the N half of the enclosure survives and it is covered in dense vegetation making detailed examination impossible. The S half of the enclosure was located in grassland but no remains survive, field boundary which originally bisected the monument on an E-W axis now forms the S boundary of the enclosure. Depicted as a semi-circular-shaped enclosure on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map. Monument consist of a circular area (approx. diam 12m N-S; 20m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth 2.5m ; base Wth 5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1-1.5m) and outer fosse (base Wth 2m; top Wth 4m ; ext. D 0.5m), no entrance feature visible, interior follows slope of terrain from W to E where it falls off into the river valley to E.
