Shown as a circular 'Rath' on Taylor's 1783 Map of County Kildare and on the 1st ed. (1838) of the OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular, enclosed copse (est. diam. c. 60m). On level pasture. The monument survives as a low, circular hillock (diam. c. 40m; H 1-2m) with no visible surface trace of an enclosing element.
