What is recorded here

In pasture, located on top of a ridge, with good views. There is an abrupt fall of ground immediately to SW. Rough circular raised area (diam. c. 35m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.4m; int. H 0.1 at SW, 0.5m at ENE; ext. H 1.1 at ENE, 1.8m at SW), which has a low internal rim n the N half, and is reduced to a scarp on the S half. The external slope at SW has an almost vertical face. There is a low, dilapidated area (Wth c. 2m) in the bank at ENE, which may be the site of an original entrance. A field wall on a NNE−SSW axis crosses the E half of the rath. The perimeter and interior are densely covered by blackthorn and hawthorn scrub, leaving only a small area at SE relatively free of overgrowth.
