In pasture, on a low rise. A modern house is located immediately to S, and there is another 15-20m to WSW.
A roughly circular area (33m N–S; 29.4m E–W) defined by a broad, low sod-covered stony rise, probably the remnants of a wall. The stone bank/wall is broadest (Wth 5-6m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1m) at E–S where it has been somewhat protected by a later property boundary that skirts the cashel at NE–S. Elsewhere it is irregular and uneven in appearance. There is a low section (Wth 4m) at NE which may indicates an original entrance.
The interior is level and grassy. There is a Man-made underground passage (MA072-031002) in the SW quadrant. Immediately outside the cashel to N is a low E–W linear rise. This seems to be the remains of a field fence rather that an outer enclosing wall of the cashel.
