On a gentle SW-facing slope in pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A raised subrectangular area (c. 40m ENE-WSW; c. 35m NNW-SSE) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 2.5m; H 0.3m) with a shallow external fosse (Wth 1.2m; D 0.3-0.5m). The bank and fosse have been modified and incorporated into a field boundary from SSW-W-NW. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded that the original entrance may have been at SE.
