Mound in Inchacooly

A low flat-topped almost circular mound (max. diam. 13.5m N-S), in low-lying area, defined by a scarp (H 0.5m-1m). Possibly the remains of a barrow. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
