Knockroe East holds a ringfort where low undulations may mark forgotten huts. That much is record. Whether people lived there, birthed children, buried tools or fled the land, the soil no longer answers. What is certain is shape: a circle of earth in West Cork, quiet enough to swallow a lifetime.
Low undulations in interior of ringfort (CO127-019001-) may be remains of hut sites.
