On lower S slopes of Mount Eagle, abutting the E side of a N-S field wall. A pair of conjoined huts of corbelled drystone construction, now almost completely obscured by field clearance debris. Du Noyer (1858, 8-9) described them as circular and D-shaped in plan, with a lintelled communicating passage, and an entrance to the exterior from the circular hut. D: c. 5.5m and c. 5.5 x 4.26m. Macalister (1899, 239-40) noted 3 huts at the site. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter.
