Hut site in Derreenataggart Commons

On rough hill grazing , on a mantle of blanket bog, on an E-facing undulating slope. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 2m) defined by the base courses of a drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.2m). The stones from the upper courses of the wall have collapsed, mainly into the interior of the hut site where they are partly grassed over. The stone collapse from the wall is also visible downslope to the E. The hut site is cut (D o.2m) into the upslope at W where the base of the wall survives best.
